The mission of the Women’s Resource Center is to provide information and programs that empower women on the Ohio Wesleyan University campus. The Women’s Resource Center works to provide a safe and supportive environment to assist women with the unique challenges they face on campus. In addition, it is a venue of advocacy for women’s issues both locally and internationally. The Center also strives to spark discussion about gender and foster healthy communication between men and women and how we interact in our community.

The culturally ingrained habit of hiding, rejecting, and denying legitimacy to one’s feelings makes it much harder for these males, for us, to gain access to feelings and impedes the disclosure of these feelings to intimate friends.
